Tom Frieberg | Volunteer Manager

Tom Frieberg was born in Albany, NY in 1961 — the same year that Pope John XXIII announced plans for the Second Vatican Council, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle combined for 117 New York Yankee home runs, and Brian Epstein became The Beatles’ manager.  Tom has been a Saint Andre Bessette parishioner for about six years and a friend and admirer of the parish and its ministries of hospitality ever since he moved to the Portland area in 1998.  He has worked in volunteer administration and lay ministry development for many years, including at The University of Portland, JVC Northwest, Legacy Hospice Services, and the Claretian Volunteers and Lay Missionaries (Chicago). His personal mission: notice the holy, act with compassion, help others to grow in wisdom and love, become one with Christ.

Tom and his wife, Sue, are the proud parents of Emma, Joe and daughter-in-law Brooke.  Tom loves golfing, bike riding, easy-to-moderate hiking, and Powell’s. | 503.228.0746 x119

An avid Harry Potter fan, Emily loves reading, dancing, and anything pun-related.
